  1. The Sunday Mode

I read Blog Inc before I actually started a blog, definitely need to re-read it now that I’ve been running a blog for two years! Especially considering I found it motivating before I had a blog…

Sometimes I run out of ideas to blog about it. These books will definitely help with that. This is a great list of assorted topics for bloggers to explore. Btw, I also judge a book by it’s cover sometimes too! I get caught up in the book design!

    1. Janica Khemlani

Oh me too! I usually get away with the cover first then after buying if I’ll hop over to the content! Yay! <3

  5. Gunhild Kristiansen

I loved Big Magic and Daring Greatly, but #Girlboss really surprised me in a positive way. I think her story and the way she tells it is so fascinating. Great list, will check some of the others out.

What a great idea for a post! I’ll definitely mark some of these books as a must read. Especially the book by Elizabeth Gilbert, because I just love her! I going to tweet your post, I think it’s an excellent source of information for other bloggers.

I am more into novels than entrepreneurship kind of books. But I would like to read more about blogging if ever I’ll get one for myself. I’m sure it will help me a lot.

    1. Janica Khemlani

I admire you for the patience of reading novels 😀 I hope I can finish a novel too!

  8. Teresa Dumadag

My advice to those thinking of starting a blog is to just do it! 😉 You learn by doing. Learn as you work on your blog. Read while working on improving your blog. The more you blog, the more that the things that you’ll read in books make sense.

  9. Kat

I’m interested in You are a badass, :eave your mark and the one from the founder of Nasty Gal. Yep I’m familiar with Nasty Gal it’s often cited as a story of innovation. Honestly I haven’t read a single thing about blogging or entrepreneurship ever since I’ve started our website, so this might be a good start. 🙂

    1. Janica Khemlani

You should absolutely checkout the You Are A Bad Ass it incredible!

  10. Darlene M

Nice list! My number one advice for those who want to blog is to read. There’s no better way to improve than read. Not necessarily books about blogging but anything that catches your fancy. It helps you also to have knowledge about other things.

    1. Janica Khemlani

Read..Read..Read and just don’t stop reading! Thanks for your thoughts Darlene!

  11. Zwitsy

The only niche I am familiar with is the number which is about online tools. But nonetheless, these book recommendation thing is really helpful particularly for newbies!

    1. Janica Khemlani

Thank you Zwitsy! The online tools book is also great source of info.

  12. Carola

Great list. i haven’t read any books about blogging so this is a great list to start with. Leave Your Mark sounds very interesting. I’d also love 101 powerful online tools. It’s always great to learn more about blogging and get some inspiration.

    1. Janica Khemlani

Leave your Mark will intensify your creative juices <3

  13. Milton Coyne

I am honestly not a bookworm but since these books are something I can really relate with, I will surely give them a try.. Hopefully I can find a copy here in my place

    1. Janica Khemlani

Hi Milton! Are you in PH? I’ve found some of these books on Power books

  14. Kristine Redillas

This is a great list! I really am curious about Girl Boss. I haven’t seen a copy of it here yet. I do wish it’s being sold somewhere here in the Philippines. Plus, reading is part of blogging and it’s somehow intertwined.

  15. Alyssa Tuangco

These are great books! I like #5, I’ve heard good reviews about it.

    alyssatuangco.blogspot.com

  16. Nya

This looks like such a helpful list, specially for those who are starting a blog just now. I think the #10 would be a nice read for me; I sometimes struggle with ‘focusing on my own game’. So it’s good that you have included motivational material as well, not just ‘technical’. Because, most of all, blog is a game of hard work and dedication.
